I checked, he‘s right. It happens on move 14 on hex 2,9 which is an ocean space featuring both steel and titanium as placement bonus. Mining Guild got 2 steel production increases from this hex alone. This is not correct.

I have my doubts now, the text say
"Each time you get any steel or titanium as a placement bonus on the map, increase your steel production 1 step."
So if its each time, isn't it 2? Because you got both

Victoria_La the text you quote is the old text of mining guild (the one before july 2017). The actual text (since the same date is "Each time you place a tile on an area with steel or titanium placement bonus, increase your steel production 1 step."

and ofc later it was corrected so that the text doesn't overflow like this one

So yes it can at max trigger one time per tile placement (and the Mining Guild text could be updated, especially to prevent future problem with some cards not yet on bga)

Oh intersting. But this means for "wild" resource it will trigger indendent from actual resource you pick (even plant) - which is current behaviour, but listed as bug boardgamearena.com/bug?id=159635

Just to confirm the fix I am making:

* Updating rule text for Mining Guild
* When you place any tile on hex with (steel|titanium|wild) production - you get +1 steel production

No because for the wild resource to trigger Mining Guild's effect (or to be able to place Mining rights/area) you need to choose steel or titanium for the wild resource or else you will not have fulfilled the condition of "...on an area with steel or titanium placement bonus" if for example you choose plant (it would be a plant placement bonus)

(confirmed by the author here boardgamegeek.com/thread/3403085/article/45161764#45161764 )

so the other bug you link (boardgamearena.com/bug?id=159635) is still a bug

(in short you can say that before placing a tile on a spot with a "standard resource" bonus you choose which resource this standard resource will be and it will define which placement bonus is on this spot)

Need to choose resource on wild specifically contridicts the new text and expanation that placement trigger the bonus not the choice. You can open another bug but I not fixing it

It's logical that to trigger "Each time you place a tile on an area with steel or titanium placement bonus" you NEED to know if the wild resource is a steel/titanium or if it's another resource
