Played the game with one other person in hotseat mode on the same device (Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+). My display was normal, I could see the whole width of the board and scroll up and down, zoom in or out as usual. So whenever it was the hotseat's player's turn, they first needed to go into full screen, do their turn actions and then leave full-screen again, so the switch to my turn could be triggered.
