Same issue on MacBook using Safari 13.1.2. I've played the new version several times and it gets painstakingly slow every time, especially in the third age.

Game is severely lagging, multiple turns in a row lagging for more than a minute resulting in getting booted for running out of time. Absolutely no lag in any other games today

almost every game with the new edition has severe lag in the 2nd and especially 3rd ages. To the point my time almost runs out. Note: when I play the old edition there is no lag.

I like the new version but there seems to be a performance issue/bug.
Around mid-game my mac starts burning, chromes suggests that I close the BGA tab, huge lag when clicking on anything.
Otherwise BGA is great, keep on the good work :)

I have the same issue as DahuDahu, Miracinoyx, idelisa84 & Jay Rampage! I am fine playing other games, but 7 wonders causes my whole system t slow down and needs to be refreshed multiple times in the game- resulting in me taking longer than the allotted time

The lag in the 3rd age (especially with 7 players) is so bad I have been ejected from the game.

Was ejected by other players on last turn because lag was so bad I couldn't even click on my card. Had similar issue to everyone above, it got worse as the game progressed. Have had no lag in recent played games or the 100's of 7 wonders games played in earlier version.

I am experiencing this lagging issue starting around mid game and getting progressively worse. I am using Safari 14.0.3 on a MacBook Air (13 inch, 2017) running macOS 10.14.6.

I use safari and am experiencing this bug. Gets very slow as we enter the 3rd age and then gets progressively worse (with 4 players)

I do not know if the bug is exactly the same, but it seems very similar to the one in Carcassonne: the game starts fine, but as it progresses (= my guess, when the number of entities to display increase) it becomes slower and slower.
In Carcassonne it becomes literally impossible to play, here I did go over time 20 seconds in the last 2 turns, so I could finish. But if there was, say, a 4th round, it would have been again unplayable like Carcassonne.

Every time I play the lag gets progressively worse until the end of the third age it takes several minutes for a turn to play out
