This isn't a suggestion so much as a rules violation in the game as I know it, that rule: If you can play, you must. I'm not sure if how we play is a variant on how this is implemented or not.

If so, it's probably better stated as: "UI improvement: disallow a pick up when a player has another legal play."

Which, reading the note-- is probably what the bit after 'OR' is saying. :)

There are no standard rules, it is intentionally like this. The rule I've chosen is that the player can pickup if they want to even if they have a legal play. If they have a legal play and miss it and pickup, then that's there fault, I am not adding a computer aid, and this adds to the tension more like real-life.

I could add a confirm button as an option, but playing the game myself - I don't really ever feel like it's needed. Likely you'll prefer to turn the option off to help speed up the game play and just provides an unnecessary step.

Thanks for the game -- I've enjoyed learning it. I do find I have a problem with accidentally picking up the discard pile ALOT by selecting the card I want to play and then clicking on the discard pile instead of using the buttons at the top of the screen to indicate I want to play them. I guess it's my fault for using the interface incorrectly. Still, the interface makes it easy for me to make this error over and over and over -- intuitively, I want to click on the spot where I want the selected cards to go.

Would another potential solution be for card(s) to play IF they are selected and a player clicks on the discard pile?

I've added a confirm dialog specifically for when you click the played card pile.

Thank you so much, Ricardo! This change didn't appreciably slow down the game and it will be a huge help! I was extra-careful in my game today to not accidently pick up discard -- and still was grateful for the double-check when it popped up at a time I actually wanted to pick up the discard pile.
