Only a few games seem very laggy on my older Android phone. In addition, when I zoom in and out of the game, the display flashes white in some areas and takes a little while to redraw.
I suspect the cause is that the table background and/or card images are VERY high resolution, higher than is needed.
If it is not too much work, one option would be what is done by the Race for the Galaxy mod: An option in the dropdown menu to allow users to choose lower-resolution card images. -
