It's the year 820. Baghdad is buzzing with poets, scholars, and astronomers, all gathered under the House of Wisdom. And you? You're a wayfarer. A wanderer with a caravan and a handful of dice, ready to chase everything the world has to offer: the lands beyond the city walls, the rivers vanishing out of sight, and the stars scattered across the night sky. The Caliph is watching. He wants to know what's out there. And you're going to find out…
Wayfarers of the South Tigris is a strategy game mixing placement, collection, and engine building. You start with a couple of workers, a few dice, some coins and provisions in your pack. Every turn, you make a choice: you can roll out a die, sending it onto your board or onto a place you've already discovered, unlocking whatever that spot has to offer. You can send out a worker into the wider world on the shared map, to strike deals, gather resources, or push your journal forward. Or, when you're worn out, you can rest, catch your breath, and if you've truly spent yourself down to nothing, you're rewarded for it.
The game rolls on for as many turns as it takes, until the end-game is triggered. That's the moment every wayfarer eventually reaches: the far edge of the journal, five spaces waiting at the very end, each one big enough for only one traveler.
The instant someone claims their spot, the countdown starts. But nobody's cut off mid-story. Every player gets one last turn to finish what they started, one last die to roll, one last card to claim, before the journals close for good.
Pack your provisions, roll your dice, and see how far your story takes you. The map is waiting.

A heartfelt thank you to Shem Phillips and S J Macdonald, the game designers, as well as Garphill Games, the publisher, for putting a map in our hands and letting us wander. And thank you to Victoria_La for building the road leading to BGA.
This was your Wednesday release.
You now have the map in your hands, so let’s wander. But remember: take care and play fair...
Harita sizi bekliyor.
